Why are professional athletes able to perform
so well on a consistent basis? It's because they're so familiar with their sport and have put in so much time that wherever or whenever they compete they're focused and are ready for whatever the environment throws at them. A great way to attain this ability is by utilizing hypnosis for sports. You'll build your concentration and desensitize yourself to situations where you typically feel nervous so you'll be able to compete in any extreme. In this article we'll go over the principals of hypnosis for sports and discuss why it's effective, and how you can implement it to become a better athlete.
The basis of hypnosis for sports is quite simple, you're going to gain control over your mind and then present hypothetical situations to it so that you're prepared if they ever arise. A good example of this if you were a basketball player would be to imagine shooting foul shots with the entire crowd booing you. First though you've got to do some mind training so that the visualizations will be effective.
So first you want to find a place that's comfortable and free from any distractions. Once you're comfortable I want you to close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing. Try and stay focused on the rise and fall of the chest and the feeling of the air entering your lungs. You'll quickly find that your mind is constantly bombarded with thoughts. The key here is to acknowledge the thoughts but let them go, don't pursue them any further. This is the key aspect of hypnosis for sports as it allows you to gain control over your mind, so you're going to want to practice it until your thoughts become few and far between.
Once you're fully relaxed and your thoughts have slowed down you're ready for the visualization. This is obviously going to vary for each sport and the circumstance that you're performing the hypnosis in but to demonstrate we'll use football. Let's say you've got a big game later this evening and you're feeling quite nervous. A great visualization to implement would be one where you catch the winning pass or making a game saving play. Performing this kind of hypnosis for sports visualization will calm the nerves and allow you to focus your attention on actually doing what you played over in your mind with your visualization.
Another useful visualization used in hypnosis for sports would be to imagine all the negative things that you're nervous about before the game. This may seem counterproductive but if you desensitize yourself to these sorts of things then you won't be as worried about committing them and you'll be able to focus more on the game.
So to summarize, the most important aspect of hypnosis for sports is to enter a state of deep relaxation where you've gained full control over the mind. This will allow you to focus one pointedly on anything you choose, and allow you to call up any emotion you desire. If you still feel nervous or you want to desensitize yourself to something that could go wrong you can try a visualization.
Hypnosis for sports is that easy, and you can literally start to see effects in just a few days of practicing. The best part of all is that it will stick with you for life. Hypnosis for sports teaches principals that affect you at the core of your being, so if you master them you're sure to improve in not just sports, but every aspect of life.  Go HERE For More

3 Steps to Abundance & Success

  • 0

by Carol Look

It's one of the most surprisingly powerful mind-body approaches to personal growth you'll ever find…
And hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of people have started using it in recent years to relieve pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and even conquer fears and phobias.
By simply touching (or tapping) meridian points on your body while you recite specific phrases and concentrate on an issue, you can eliminate energetic blocks and subconscious fears
And even open yourself to achieving more abundance and success.
So can something so simple really shift your abundance?
The answer is YES! This technique — called Tapping (also known as Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT) — is effective, yet it's also surprisingly easy to use and share with others.
And the results have often proven to be deeply transformational.

How Does Tapping Work?

According to ancient Chinese medicine, the human body has about 20 meridian points. It's theorized that a person's life energy flows through these points, but…
Any fear or negative charges accumulated in these meridian points will end up blocking them and damaging the sequence. Tapping helps to clear this blocked energy using nothing more than your fingers and ultimately, intention.
Think of it like acupuncture, only without the frightening needles (a relief for anyone who is scared of needles!)
Unlike acupuncture, Tapping is not just exclusive to experts or masters. It's really easy to practice this technique effectively and give yourself results for issues that other methods have failed to resolve.

Remove Your Fear of Failure

I've identified five types of subconscious fears that reside within us:
Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of change, fear of losing your identity and fear of unworthiness.
We're each locked in a silent battle with at least one of them, and they are holding us back from unleashing our abundant potential.
But the good news is, these subconscious fears can be banished…all through Tapping.
For now, let's concentrate on one of the most common fears: the fear of failure. Many of you may have already thought about how your fear of failure blocks your abundance…but changing still scares you.
And maybe you haven't had the right tools to clear your fear of failure — until now.
So let's start at the beginning. How do we get so afraid of failure that we won't try anything new?
It takes time and training to learn how to be afraid of failing. We either learn the fear from someone in our family, we're taught that failing is terrible (rather than just the world giving us feedback), or we have a negative experience and vow never to take a risk again.
I invite you to imagine a life without this fear…
Imagine a life where you are eager and looking forward to new ideas and new chances to succeed…
Imagine a life where trying something new feels exciting and optimistic, rather than dangerous or a recipe for failure.
Are you ready to stop imagining and start experiencing?
Then let's begin with these Tapping setup phrases to raise your energy vibration by choosing to clear your fear of failure!

Step 1: Tapping Setup Phrases to Attract Abundance

(If you aren't familiar with Tapping, please refer to the diagram for the tapping points.)
The Tapping Setup Phrases to clear your fear of failure are as follows:
While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud —
  • "Even though I'm afraid to fail so I won't even try, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway."
  • "Even though it feels dangerous to try new things because I might fail, I accept who I am and how I feel."
  • "Even though the risk of failing is too big so I'm not going to try anything new, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway."
You may repeat the positive round more than once if you wish.

Step 2: Unblock the Negative Energy

Now that you've done the tapping setup phrases, you can get specific with phrases that focus on the problem.
I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below.
  • Eyebrow: "I'm so afraid to fail."
  • Side of Eye: "I've failed too much already."
  • Under Eye: "I don't want to take a risk — I might fail."
  • Nose: "I'm not sure how to take a risk without failing."
  • Chin: "It feels stupid to take a risk."
  • Collarbone: "I can't afford to fail again…"
  • Under Arm: "I'm too afraid to even try…what if I fail?"
  • Head: "I'm afraid of what it will feel like if I fail yet again."

Step 3: Raise Your Vibration

Now for the positive focus on the solution.
  • Eyebrow: "What if I started to take some tiny risks…and didn't fail?"
  • Side of Eye: "Maybe I don't have to be afraid of failing all the time."
  • Under Eye: "What if I succeed instead of failing?"
  • Nose: "What if I don't have to look at change as failure…"
  • Chin: "I want to feel inspired to Clear My Fear of Failure."
  • Collarbone: "I'm ready and willing to Clear My Fear of Failure."
  • Under Arm: "I choose to feel inspired to Clear My Fear of Failure."
  • Head: "I choose to Clear My Fear of Failure and enjoy new opportunities."
You can also access more positive abundance vibrations with the Law of Attraction by repeating the following phrases (while tapping or not):
  • Thank You, Universe for teaching me how to Clear My Fear of Failure…I feel more aligned with abundance already!
  • Thank You, Universe for allowing me to feel inspired to Clear My Fear of Failure…I am looking forward to uplifting results!
  • Thank You, Universe for making it so easy for me to Clear My Fear of Failure…I feel the vibrational shift and power already!
Simply repeat these steps, as many times as you like or need, and enjoy using the Law of Attraction to bring more of what you want into your life!
To witness the true transformational benefits of Tapping, watch this inspiring, complimentary video that follows a case study of five people who made the positive shift into abundance through Tapping.
We promise the video will put a smile of hope on your face! :-)

Turning Fear into Gratitude

Gratitude is a fantastic way to not only ease turbulent emotions like fear, but it can actually help
you to better appreciate your life as it is right now (problems and all), as well as continuously
keep attracting better experiences. There are endless ways to use gratitude, but here are a few
that should be useful relating to fear:
Focus on something you appreciate.
When locked into a fearful state of mind, you automatically focus on the bad things that are
either happening now or could happen in the near future. those fearful thoughts have a way of snowballing out of control in no time at all.
You can reverse this process by instead focusing on something you can feel genuine appreciation
for. This might be a cherished figurine your mother gave you, a favorite chair in your living
room, or a love letter from your spouse. Spend a few minutes looking at this object, and feel
grateful that you have it. Think about the reasons why you like it (or love it) so much, and let
those happy feelings flow through you for several minutes.
If there are no objects you can appreciate nearby, try taking a slow walk outside and appreciate
the trees, flowers, animals and people you see. Focus on something positive about them, and
soon you will find other positive qualities coming to your attention.
Focus on someone you love.
You can also do this with people (or pets) that you care for. Simply call them to mind and think
about how much you love them, how much you love spending time with them, and the many
ways they add joy and happiness to your life. The person or animal does not have to be living
either – you can look at old photos of your grandparents, your first pet, or childhood friends and
relive happy memories you shared with them.
Focus on the positive side of your problems.
Gratitude can also be a powerful pathway to seeing your problems and challenges in a new light.
Rather than focusing on the bad aspects and feeling fearful about them, shift your focus and try
to find one or more positive aspects. For example, a frightening diagnosis may seem
overwhelmingly bad – but you could affirm the fact that you are being given a new chance to
take better care of your body; or that overcoming the illness will help you and your loved ones to
become stronger and closer. Give thanks for the lessons and opportunities that are always hidden
in every challenge. Here is a simple script to help you shift into an attitude of gratitude:

Handle Your Anger

Anger, while a healthy and normal reaction to disturbing situations, can be extreme to the point of violence. When a person experiences habitual episodes of angry or reckless behavior, there's a problem, one that must be dealt with. Anger management strategies are designed to help an individual return to a healthy, normal life.

Taking a time-out is considered a healthy management approach. Removing oneself from a place or person that makes a person angry is practicing time-out. Go for a walk or leisurely drive.  Sometimes a physical activity such as running or playing sports helps release the built up energy.  As your energy dissipates, so does the anger.

A second healthy anger management strategy is, owning up to the anger. The anger actually belongs to the distressed person. Only the person who's experiencing the anger issues can control their outbursts. When we are angry, our bodies react strongly-heart rate increases, muscles tighten and all body systems need to work harder.  In the end, the person anger hurts the most is the one experiencing it.

Another healthy anger management strategy is to look back on those situations that troubled an individual and try to uncover ways to make changes. Not only may the person learn to evade these incidents but they may also decide to take what they've learned and try to deal with it without bursting into frenzy.

A fourth healthy management strategy is to confront the situation or person. Talk to the person or people involved calmly and try to resolve the cause of the problem. Often matters can be quickly worked out to the satisfaction of both parties involved.  If they can't, it may be worth just walking away and deciding to agree to disagree.

Anger serves a purpose in our lives but don't allow excessive anger destroy yours. Read More Here

Overcoming FEAR (False Expectations about Reality

Inspire a Fresh Beginning
There are many popular acronyms for the word "fear" but my favorite is "False Expectations about Reality."  This acronym is powerful because it reminds us that many of our worries are about future events that will never come to pass.  False expectations about future reality are obstacles to success.  They sap our energy and take our focus away from actions that would help us realize our dreams.
According to Psychology Today, each of us has between 25,000 and 50,000 thoughts per day.  When the majority of these thoughts are negative, they can shape our mood, motivation and ability to succeed.
Here are some of the false expectations that used to run through my mind – do they sound familiar?
  • I'll never find a loving relationship that will last.
  • If I don't work harder, I'll lose my job.
  • Someday I'll end up homeless.
  • There's no use trying because I'll fail.
  • I won't succeed because I'm not good enough.
Motivational experts say that we need to stop false expectations from looping through our minds if we want our dreams to become a reality.  Once you become aware that these thoughts are not based on reality, you can begin to work on replacing them with positive thoughts and plans for actions.  Although we can't always control our moods, we can definitely control our thoughts.
To overcome false expectations that have become obstacles, you must first identify them.  Do you have persistent negative beliefs that are keeping you from realizing your hopes and dreams?  It may help to track your negative and fear-based thoughts for a few days to see how often they occur.  One way to do this is with a thought journal where you take stock of your negative thinking at the end of the day.  Pay particular attention to the number of times you focused on problems rather than solutions.  Also try to identify the triggers that set your negative thinking in motion.
Not all fear is based on false expectations.  Some fears are real and are based on circumstances that are grounded in reality.  These fears can force us to make decisions and take action.  How to differentiate between false expectations and real worries that are based in reality? Evaluate the probability of a fear coming true in the near future and decide if facing it will bring you closer to realizing your dreams.
Once you have a better understanding about your negative thoughts, replace worries about the future with positive thoughts that are based in the present.  For example, instead of thinking you will never be able to lose weight because you can't give up the fattening food that you love, begin to think of yourself as a healthy person who has a healthy diet and enjoys exercise.  It may seem silly to think this way when it's not true, but positive thoughts can have a powerful influence on the subconscious.  Over time, your new way of thinking will begin to control your actions and create a new reality.
Making lists of the good things in your life is another way to begin thinking more positively.  You'll find it easier to stay motivated when your thinking is inspired by positivity.  If you do encounter failure, learn to see it as a bump in the road rather than a roadblock.  It may slow you down, but don't let it stop you.
I was able to overcome many of my negative thought patterns by reading some of the literature about positive thinking.  The Power of Optimism by Alan Loy McGinnis was an important book for me.  Other authors who cover the subject of positive thinking include Martin Seligman, M. Scott Peck, Dale Carnegie and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (who many credit as the founder of the positive thinking movement).

How Self-Esteem Affects Our Confidence

Our self-belief has a profound effect on our confidence and on the quality of our lives. If a person believes that he lacks basic skills to solve problems then he may lose heart and give up. In contrast, a person who has less abilities but who believes in himself stands a much better chance of being successful. This is because his self-belief gives him the confidence to try.

Have you ever wondered why only a few students in a class ask questions? Is it because the others have understood all the points made during a lecture? Or is it because they lack the confidence to ask a question? More often than not, it is the fear of making a fool of themselves that stops students from asking questions. In other words, they lack self-confidence. The only way this confidence can improve is when they start believing in themselves.

This is why self-belief is so important. It gives an individual the confidence to aim for the moon. It overwhelms negative thoughts, and drives away the fear of failure. It is the best antidote against self-flagellation, which turns several talented persons into under-achievers. It gives the students the confidence that they have nothing to loose. On the contrary, they realize that they have everything to gain by asking a question, even if it happens to be a silly question.

Abraham Lincoln is a fine example of a man who believed in himself. He lost every election until he went to the Senate and stood for the post of the President. He did not allow his failures in professional and personal life to erode his self-belief. Had he done so, the history of the US would have been different.

Self-belief gives us the confidence to accept failure. It teaches us the importance of positive thinking. Those who have self-esteem don't talk about failures; instead, they try to find out why they did not succeed. They look for lessons that can be learnt from their experience. This is not a simple issue of semantics. It is the power of positive thinking, and it is available to only those who have self-esteem.

Once again it is self-esteem that gives us the confidence to enter a new group, and become a part of it. Those who lack self-esteem are very reluctant to approach a new group. They don't want to expose themselves to the ridicule of being seen as shy, nervous or ignorant. They would instead prefer to stay in their corners.

In fact, lack of self-esteem stands out like a sore thumb at parties, at meetings, at conferences and at social or official functions. Individuals with low self-esteem avoid introducing themselves to others. They prefer to stay in the shadows, away from the sights of others. However, their colleagues who enjoy high self-esteem dominate the discussions. They are sought after by others for information. They are also invited to other meetings and parties -- all because their self-esteem gives them the confidence to open up before a group of strangers. It is the same student syndrome that is reflected in an individual's working life too.

Low self-esteem also lowers an individual's self-confidence. He takes to liquor or drugs to boost his confidence artificially. Nothing can be more futile or dangerous. Such behavior further destroys an individual's self-esteem. The best way to break out of this pitiable situation is to build self-esteem, which is not easy.  The individual has few options but to begin life afresh. The best is to look for a new workplace and a new set of friends, because it is easy to deal with people who have no preconceived notions about you.

But nothing will work until the individual develops self-respect and the self-belief that he is as good as others. He must realize that he is not the only one who has strong and weak points; the others too suffer from the same defects. The only difference is that the others project their strong points whereas he projects his weak points. All that he needs is to refocus his priorities. He will find the elusive self-confidence.

Anger in Review

Ripping Loose or Calming Down? A Guide to Anger Management Ebook By Gary Evans
eBook (PDF): $9.95

With this report at hand, there's no need to vent out anger in a non-constructive way. From here on, you'd be able to make the most out of this rather negative feeling. It can even make you a better... More >

When we review the source of our anger, it often helps us to see the answers we missed when our emotions had control. Emotions are our makeup and they control our anger, sadness, joy and all other aspects of our thinking if we let it. If you are having difficulty managing your emotions, you most likely suffer anxiety, depression and become uncontrollable when your anger bursts. The best solution then is writing down your emotions and thoughts on paper and search for the triggers that interrupted your emotions. For example, I was involved in an incident that caused my mind's image to break off into fragments. I am unable to review the entire episode that created the chaos in my head. The incident caused my nerves to shatter, which led to anxiety attacks and periodical depression episodes. I cannot cope with everyday life and I often try to avoid people to minimize the conflict in my life. I have flashbacks on occasions that upset my nerves and emotions and when someone triggers me, I want to strike out and hurt them as they have hurt me. We are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder in this experience; therefore, we need a coping strategy that works best for us. We see that the anger is going to get the best of the individual if he or she does not find a way to control the emotions that causes an uproar leading to anger outbursts. First, this person cannot stand to be around loud noises so staying away from crowds is best for now. Finding a safe haven in your home and a quite environment often works best to prevent anger and stress outbreaks. You might want to take Ginkoba for alertness to help enhance your mind. You might even want to visit a mental health expert and ask for a prescription that helps deal with post-traumatic stress disorders. Trazadone is great for relieving nightmares and night sweats, which are symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Vitamin C and Vitamin B-Complex are also great to enhance the mind and help a person cope with stress. If you have difficulty focusing, which is another symptom included in the diagnose then you might want to focus on smaller tasks and move ahead to bigger tasks when you are ready. Learn to relax. Taking deep breaths before your emotions erupt is often good for dealing with anger. Yoga and exercise are great for helping the body and mind to relax. If you struggle with emotions its best to find out what works best for you and practice each day relaxing approaches to healing. It is important to pamper your self and avoid stress and stressors as much as possible. Remember you are at a greater risk of anger explosion more so than the common people in society are. The diagnose formally known as 'war shock' will take you boldly where no one will ever go. It is important to learn the symptoms and find a way to deal with it accordingly. Learning is growing and when your mind grows, it is developing a great survival strategy. Remember when you are overly stressed your body is affected gravely. Your diagnose puts you at a deeper risk, since anxiety and stress levels of post-traumatic stress disorder opens the door to heart attacks and strokes. Eventually you will need to face the trauma that put you in this state of mind. Therefore, I highly recommend that you write everyday. Role-playing is also great for these diagnoses and will reduce anger and emotions. Sit down in a comfortable area and pretend someone in the chair across from you loves you. The person has your best interest at heart. Now begin telling your imaginary friend the problems you are dealing with and what you are feeling inside. If you are feeling angry, tell the person how you feel and why you are feeling this way if possible. If you need to punch something soft, so you will not get hurt. Finally, vent all your energy and anger by vocalizing to your imaginary friend and when you finish review your scene carefully. Put the anger in review and take charge of your position when you see that your anger is not out of your reach.
